Ekaete Bailey is a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) advocate and consultant who began formally working in the DEI space as an elected volunteer leader of a 500-person employee resource group. A former banker, Ekaete is experienced in product management, training and change management. Skilled in communications and public relations, Ekaete has held senior roles in DEI and has a demonstrated record of finding creative ways to engage in employee-centered projects to impact change.
At FMG, Ekaete leads the evolution of the company’s Racial Equity Strategic Plan through an intersectional lens. She Provides counsel and develops tools and protocols that help build the capacity of staff to operationalize equity in their client work. Collaborating with employees across divisions, she develops measurable DE&I metrics and fosters a community of belonging.
Before FMG, Ekaete co-founded an enterprise-wide Sponsorship Program and racial equity campaign at a regional east coast financial institution. Active in social justice efforts and non-profit work, Ekaete served for three years on the Board of Directors for International Child Advancement, an organization that supports orphanages and youth centers around the world.
Ekaete holds an MS in Multi-Disciplinary Studies/Public Relations Management from Buffalo State College and a BA in Communications from the State University of New York at New Paltz. She is a 2022 MBA candidate at St. Bonaventure University.
