Fors Marsh Group Named a 2019 Northern Virginia Family Service CARE Award Winner

Fors Marsh Group (FMG) has won the Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) 2019 Companies as Responsive Employers (CARE) Award. NVFS recognized FMG for its commitment to providing a workplace that promotes work–life balance, meets the needs of employees and their families, and creates a positive impact in the Northern Virginia area.

“We are honored to be recognized as a 2019 NVFS CARE Award winner,” said FMG CEO Ben Garthwaite. “Receiving the CARE Award is a testament to our investment in talented people and a strong belief in higher standards of overall social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. As a Certified B Corp, Fors Marsh Group is committed to ensuring that all our business practices benefit our employees, community, and environment. In 2019—and as we continue to grow—we are determined to build on this recognition and finding ways to create a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement and diversity.”

“For more than 25 years, the CARE Award has recognized outstanding companies moving the needle to make Northern Virginia a better place to work, live, and play,” shared Stephanie Berkowitz, president and CEO of NVFS. “CARE Award winners are top business leaders who demonstrate unyielding commitment to their employees and our community. CARE shines a light on this exceptional group of businesses and the ways they help to strengthen our economy and make our region stronger.”

FMG received overwhelmingly positive feedback from its employees about its company culture, benefits, and community programs, which is one of the most important factors in selecting CARE Award winners. Additionally, FMG’s extensive investment in community programs, health and wellness benefits, work–life programs and policies, and professional development programs stood out among companies in Northern Virginia. FMG has created a strong workplace built on four core values: People First, The Right Way, Impactful Work, and Endless Pursuit of Growth. Additionally, FMG has deepened its engagement within the local community by launching its community service program, Social Engagement through Research-centered Volunteerism (SERV). Through SERV and FMG’s research efforts, traditionally underserved groups in the community receive better resources and improved services.

FMG is always looking for passionate people to join our team. Read more about FMG and browse current openings on our Careers web page.
