Fors Marsh Group to Support Modernization of Organizational Climate Survey for the U.S. Military
Fors Marsh Group (FMG) earned a one-year contract with the Office of People Analytics (OPA) Health and Resilience (H&R) division to develop a new organizational climate assessment that will identify emerging personnel and readiness challenges within military units in order to help military leadership mitigate these risks.
In 2018, OPA was tasked with modernizing the measurement of command climate across the Department of Defense (DOD). Building off of its previous work with OPA, FMG will provide analytic support to develop and test survey items as well as statistical programming support to create weighting algorithms and weighted metrics of key command climate metrics.
“Climate is a driving force in an organization’s culture. And culture drives an organization’s success. We understand the many ways allowed and assumed behaviors within the U.S. Military can positively or negatively affect readiness and retention, and we have the methods and experts to accurately measure the organizational climate of military units,” said Katherine Ely, Vice President of Military Personnel Analytics at FMG. “Modernizing this important climate assessment tool allows OPA to provide military leaders across organizational levels with clear and insightful findings that ultimately improve the preparedness and readiness of the force.”
